Whitecaps to Learn CONCACAF Champions League Foes on June 1

The Vancouver Whitecaps will learn which teams they’ll face in this season’s edition of the CONCACAF Champions League on June 1. The Caps qualified for the Champions League last year by having the best regular season record amongst the three Canadian MLS clubs.

In a media release, CONCACAF revealed some details of the draw, which will be held in Miami:

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) announced that the official draw for the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League 2015/16 will be held the evening of Monday, June 1 at the New World Symphony Center on Miami Beach, Florida.
 
The proceedings, involving CONCACAF officials and representatives of the 24 clubs qualified to participate in the upcoming edition of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, will determine the eight groups for the preliminary stage of the Confederation’s premier club event, which begins in August.
