West Van FC Joins FVSL Premier League

As we approach the 2015-2016 season and the league celebrating its 50th anniversary we are very pleased to announce an agreement has been reached for the acquisition of West Van FC into our FVSL Premier division.

Meetings were held this past weekend with representatives from both parties to confirm the key points in this new partnership. You can read some of the comments received from the key stakeholders as they left the meetings, below.

  • “I couldn’t be more thrilled as President of this great league to have Andy Bramley and Leo Nash and his tremendously talented young side come into the fold. Having seen them just complete a very successful league and provincial cup campaign as Provincial Cup champions, I feel they’ll make an instant and exciting impact in our Premier division. The timing couldn’t be better to add such a high caliber club with so much recent success. Exciting times for sure!”

Dave Hleucka, President – FVSL

  • “We at WVFC are very excited about this move. I think it is the start of something big and thank you both to Dave Hleucka, President and Thomas Mills, Executive Director and all the members of the FVSL for accepting us into your league. We have heard nothing but positive things about the FVSL. It’s a very exciting time for our club. We look forward to playing in and representing the FVSL for many years to come.”  Andy Bramley – West Van FC
  • “As head coach of the West Van FC U21 program for the past 5 years I think the time is right for this group to play the highest caliber available. The FVSL has been very accommodating and enthusiastic in bringing WVFC aboard and we can’t wait to get started. All we hear are positive things about this league. We are looking forward to this exciting challenge”  Leo Nash – West Van FC
