KYSA TO OFFER ‘GET READY FOR SOCCER SPRING BREAK CAMP” & SPRING ACADEMY

KAMLOOPS, BC – The Kamloops Youth Soccer Association (KYSA) is offering players in the U4 to U13 age groups an opportunity to sign up for its annual “Get Ready For Soccer” Spring Break Soccer Camp.

The camp, sponsored by the KYSA’s coach and player development partner, Hansport, is set to run from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, March 19-23, 2018 in the Kamloops Soccer Dome.

Parents will be able to drop their children at the Dome a half-hour before kick-off and pick them up between 4:00pm and 4:30pm each day.

The camp will be under the direction of KYSA Technical Director, Ciaran McMahon and Senior Staff Coach Mark Bell.

There are two options available for parents to choose from: The registration fee for one week is $170.00. A half-day rate for one week is $140.00. The KYSA is offering a $20.00 early bird discount if players register by March 1st. The association also offers family discounts (3 or more children).

In addition to the Spring Break Camp, the KYSA is offering players in the U4 to U13 age groups and Goalkeepers aged 8 to 13 the chance to register for its Spring Development Academy which is set to run Friday nights from 4:30pm to 5:45pm at McArthur Island. The registration fee for the 8-week program, to start April 27, is $100 per player. The KYSA is offering a $20.00 early bird discount if players register by March 1st. The association also offers family discounts (3 or more children).

All participants in KYSA Centre of Excellence programs will receive a souvenir t-shirt which is included in the registration fee.

Parents can register their children for both the Spring Break Soccer Camp and the Spring Academy on-line at any time at www.kysa.net or at the KYSA office on McArthur Island, from 9:00am-4:00pm, Tuesday through Friday.

KYSA Centre of Excellence programs offer a fun, structured and professional environment to help players develop their skills. The KYSA’s child-centered environment will involve players in a series of activities and games designed to develop general motor skill coordination, sport specific movement, technical ability, skill execution and game awareness at a level appropriate for each participant.
