KYSA SOCCER SCHOOLS BEGINNING SOON

KAMLOOPS, BC –– In just over two week’s time the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association (KYSA) will stage the first of three week-long soccer schools.

This is the eight consecutive year the association is offering players an opportunity to polish their skills and learn more about the beautiful game and how it is played––well!

The first school is open to high performing players between the ages of 10 and 17 and features coaches from Stoke City FC of the English Premier League.

The school runs from August 8th to 11th. Boys can register for the morning sessions from 9:00am to 11:30am while the girls can register for the afternoon sessions from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

This soccer school is tailored for KYSA prospects, development and select players who are eager to improve their abilities under the guidance of three English coaches who have a combined 60 years of coaching experience, AND, players who aspire to be select players in the future.

This is the fifth year that the KYSA is bringing full-time coaches from England to instruct at its high performance camps.

The following week, August 14-18, the KYSA is offering its regular school which is open to boys and girls of all skill levels aged 5 to 13. The sessions run from 9:00am to Noon, Monday through Friday.

There are a variety of choices in the third and final week of schools, which is set to run from August 21-25, from 9:00am to Noon each day.

The KYSA is offering “Advanced Striker” and “Advanced Goalkeeper” sessions for boys and girls aged 9 to 14, as well as a camp for players of all abilities aged 5-13. Players in this soccer school have the option of adding a Hockey Skills camp in the afternoon from 1:15pm to 2:30pm.

All KYSA Soccer Schools are held on McArthur Island.
