FVSL All-Stars to face WFC2 in March

– BC Soccer Web

January snow and ice in the Lower Mainland put the brakes on the annual clash between the Fraser Valley Soccer League All-Stars and the best from the VISL this year. That hasn’t stopped the FVSL from planning an ambitious All-Star series in March.

The Fraser Valley Soccer League confirmed this week that they will be hosting an exhibition match against USL’s WFC2 on Wednesday, March 15 at Trasolini Turf in Port Moody. Kickoff is at 8:00 PM. Besides giving local players a chance to measure up against the pros, it’s a good opportunity to check out this year’s crop of Vancouver Whitecaps prospects prior to the start of the USL season.

More games for the FVSL All-Stars are in the works. They are currently formalizing plans for exhibitions against GNAC champions Simon Fraser University and Bellingham United of Washington’s Evergreen Premier League. BC Soccer Web will have the details once these matches are confirmed.
