KAMLOOPS, BC –– The Kamloops Youth Soccer Association is moving to hire a full-time Senior Staff Coach.
Applicants for this new position must possess a minimum Canadian Soccer Association Provincial B License coaching certification.
The individual selected for the position will work alongside KYSA Technical Director, Ciaran McMahon.
“KYSA has been a leader amongst BC soccer associations for early adoption of long term player development strategies,” says KYSA President Graham Cope. “The addition of a full-time professional coach will allow our technical group to deliver programming to more athletes with a focus on developing technical skills and tactical awareness at all ages.”
KYSA Executive Director Keith Liddiard adds, “Ciaran has done an excellent job for KYSA since he was hired 2-1/2 years ago. But having one individual overseeing the development and education of 3700 players and some 600 parent-volunteer coaches has become an unrealistic expectation. We are running more programs than we have ever offered and our Technical Director needs help delivering our coach and player development initiatives.
Anyone interested in applying for the position can visit the KYSA web site at www.kysa.net for an overview of what the Senior Staff Coach’s responsibilities will be as well as the salary range and application details.
