Victoria Highlanders FC (6-7-1) wrapped up their 2019 USL League Two season with the finale of their weekend series against Calgary Foothills FC (9-3-2) on Sunday, July 14th at Mount Royal University. Two goals in the second half courtesy Willy Akio and Tofa Fakunle helped the Foothills walk away with the 3-0 win. Benjamin Jackson recorded the clean sheet while Aribim Pepple opened the scoring in the first half.

As part of its 2016-2019 Strategic Plan, BC Soccer has been exploring the feasibility of establishing a Regional Tier 3 League, to bridge the gap between youth and professional soccer that supports the development pathway in BC. Establishing this program would create a professionally run adult league with a division for females and males with aspirations of evolving to a semi-professional standard over a reasonable time.
