Seattle Sounders and Tacoma Rainers announce S2 will play in Tacoma in 2018 – MLS
Seattle Sounders FC 2 are moving south a couple years ahead of schedule. The Sounders announced on Wednesday that their USL team’s previously-announced move to Tacoma, Washington will happen in 2018. S2 will play their matches at Cheney Stadium, home of the Tacoma Rainiers AAA baseball team, until a soccer-specific stadium (rendering pictured above) is constructed within the site’s footprint.

The Football Ferns are on the hunt for a new coach after the experienced Tony Readings stepped down from the role. The 42-year-old took charge of the team back in 2011, and led them at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, as well as the Women’s World Cup in 2015.

South Korean soccer website Sportal Korea has reported that Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angel’s Jeon Ga-eul is close to a return to NWSL next season to play for the North Carolina Courage.
