Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that co-owner Jeff Mallett, on behalf of the club, will donate $25,000 to the #BuckUp for Mental Health campaign in support of Covenant House Vancouver. The $25,000 donation will be contributed if the goal of $50,000 is reached.

York Lions head coach looks back on men’s soccer season – Excalibur
The 2016 regular season for the York Lions men’s soccer team was one for the ages, ending with an undefeated record of 14-0-2. The team continued their superior gameplay from the previous two seasons into last season, netting 59 goals in total while only giving up 19. The Rochester Rhinos extended their undefeated streak to four games as they took a 1-0 victory against the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Wednesday night in the USL Game of the Week on ESPN3 at Capelli Sport Stadium. The Rhinos (3-1-3, 12pts) had the better of the opening 20 minutes, but neither side created a serious threat on goal until Tampa Bay’s Michael Nanchoff fired a shot just over from 25 yards in the 26th minute.
