Not a classic. That’s the kind description. An awful match to watch another version. Dreadful display by both sides, another still.

After picking up four of a possible six points to start the trip, Vancouver Whitecaps FC (9W-9L-4D) concluded their three-match road swing with a narrow 1-0 defeat to New England Revolution (8W-10L-5D) on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

Well, the Grade 12 Gloucester High School student lived out that dream Saturday at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg. He counted the one and only goal in the final minute of the 80-minute championship game to defeat Alberta 1-0 in the men’s soccer final and lift Ontario to the gold medal.
