Friday April 6 was a night to recognize our divisional and Cup champions, as well as their respective MVP’s, and other great community people.
We held our event at Club Distrikt inside the Strathcona Hotel.
While most were not a surprise, the divisional MVP’s as well as some individual awards were not common knowledge.

Division 1 Top Scorer & winner of the Dr JD Hunter MVP award – Ryan Andre of Lakehill FC.
The Wilf Sadler Memorial for a distinguished person / leader in the league – Tyler Hughes of Cowichan.
The Tolmie Cup for Team of the Year – Saltspring Alumni.
The President’s Award this year was awarded to Danny Van Gylswyk of Gorge FC.
Danny has been with the Gorge for 50 years now. Excellent past success as player and coach locally, provincially, and nationally.
He has worked hard with his Div 1 team to get them where they should be – and did so by winning a Jackson Cup this year.
A good family man, dedicated club member, and just a solid person.
Thank you for your support all year, now time for BC Soccer Provincial Cup which will have the full draw tomorrow night in Vancouver.
