VISL Weekend Results – January 20-22

-submitted by Vince Greco

Division 1 was back in full swing this past weekend, and the results did not disappoint!

Other than Cowichan winning their match, the rest of the top 5 teams tied or lost = some breathing room for Cowichan who still have at least 1 game in hand on the rest of those teams.

“Upset” of the week would have to be VI Wave defeating Gorge, but there would be a strong discussion that Comox drawing Vic West was a big result as well – especially as that has implications on the relegation zone. Also of importance on the bottom side is the valuable 3 points earned by Campbell River as they defeated Saanich Fusion.

Next couple weeks should be interesting – then a week break for the Jackson Cup!
