Week 16 was a busy one in the VISL Division 1.
A Champion was crowned, and the races within the rest of the division are boiling up.
There is only 2 full weeks left, and so much is still to be determined.
BC Provincial Cup berths as well as relegation being the 2 biggest items on the agenda.
Here is how the weekend wrapped up, with special congratulations to Cowichan LMG for claiming the 4th straight divisional championship – earning the Garrison Cup.
-Cowichan started off the weekend of games by clinching the division with a win over Bays Utd.
-A Nanaimo & Gorge draw has made a cluster in spots 3, 4, and 5.
-The Lakehill win over Westcastle keeps the Reds in the hunt for a Provincial Cup berth, while making things a little tougher for the New Kids on The Block.
-VI Wave and their win over Vantreights puts pressure on Comox & Bays as all are fighting for their relegation lives.
-Vic West defeat Comox to take a strong hold of 2nd place, and force Comox to earn another result to stay clear of the relegation zone.
