As we prepare for the Cup Finals next weekend, there were some details to sort out in the Division 1 standings still.
Here is what happened on the weekend; and while it answered some questions, others still remain and will take mid week to finalize.

Here is the new look of the standings – that will be adjusted come the end of this week again.
What we know for sure – Cowichan will finish 1st, Westcastle is 2nd, Gorge 7th, and Fernwood 10th.

With the 3 games left, we still need to determine who will qualify for BC Soccer’s Provincial A Cup.
It is still up in the air as to which teams between lakehill, Mid Isle, & Nanaimo will advance into the 3rd season of the year.
Comox has the tiniest glimmer of getting out of 9th spot – they would need to defeat Vic West by 23 goals in their last game.
Lakehill vs Nanaimo will decide who gets a BC Cup berth. Should Lakehill win, they are in as well as Mid Isle and Nanaimo is out of contention.
If Nanaimo defeats Lakehill, they are in, then Mid Isle would need to defeat Gorge to get a berth…..then Lakehill is out of consideration.
Should be an exciting week – and it gets topped off with all 4 major Cup Finals at RAP this weekend.
