VISL Jackson Cup Quarterfinals

The 1/4 Finals have all been played, and the weekend was not a standard one.
There were a couple blowouts, a shutout, and a stunning knockout.
The 4 matches went like this.

-Saturdays first game saw Division 1 champion Lakehill defeat Division 2 Champion Comox by score of 6-1.
Goal scorers for the the home Lakehill side were Blair Sturrock & Nicholas Pineda-Graham with 1 each, and Jon Shah & Wesley Barrett had 2 goals each.
Spoiling the shutout bid in the 90th minute and getting the loan goal for Comox was Josh Fauchon.

-Saturday also saw Vic West Division 1 blank Gorge Utd Division 2 by score of 4-0.
Scoring for Vic West was Derek deGroot, Salem Almardy, and Brodie Keefe with 2.
Earning the clean sheet was Keeper Ben Chamberlain.

-The last game of Saturday night at Westhills was very exciting as Nanaimo came into town to take on the only undefeated squad in Division 1.
Nanaimo, who is near the bottom of the Division 1 defeated the young squad by score of 4-1.
Scoring for Nanaimo was Griffin Douglas, Shun Takano, and Colin Jacques with 2.
Adding the single for Westcastle was Stuart Klenner.

-The final game of the quarter finals played late Sunday night saw Victoria Highlanders Division 2 defeat Prospect Lake Division 2 by score of 6-1.
The loan goal scorer for the short staffed Prospect Lake team was Adrian Herlaar.
Scoring for the Highlanders was Goran Blagojevic with 1, and Mahdi Hammoud with 5 !

After the bracket has been updated, here is how it looks overall.
The semis – Nanaimo will host Vic West & Highlanders host Lakehill.

An exciting weekend of matches as the overall picture is becoming pretty clear.
