VISL Division 1 Week 11 Matches

Here is what there is on tap for local soccer league play this weekend.

The past weekend made the division a little tighter, pretty sure there could be a little bit of drama for this weekend as well.

-Sherman Rd will play host to Cowichan vs Gorge. Gorge will look to build on their win vs Bays while Cowichan build on their expected win over Fernwood.
3 points for Gorge gets them right back into the mix of things, while 3 points for Cowichan gets them up with the upper class of the division.

-Game of the Week at Braefoot park on Friday night ! A LAkehill win keeps the Reds in the hunt for top placement.
The young Westcastle boys are playing great ball as they come off a week of defeating the division leaders.
A win by the young lads keeps them in pace with Mid Isle – as they have 2 games in hand.

-Bays & Fernwood. A match that will test both teams as they have somewhat underachieved to this point of the year.
Both will be hungry for the 3 points to say the least.

-A North Island battle in Ladysmith as Mid Isle look to rebound from last weeks loss.
They will face a never giving up attitude Comox team who would lave to hand a loss on the division leaders.

-The last match of the weekend will be between of the 2 oldest clubs in the division – and the entire league – Vic West & Nanaimo.
Finlayson should be busy on Saturday night as Vic West need the 3 points so much. Nanaimo would like them too as they look to stay up in the top 2 in the division.

All in all, should be an interesting couple days of soccer.

See you at the park, supporting people living in your community, and local grass roots soccer.
