VISL Division 1 Upcoming Matches & Standings

Division 1 still has several things to get sorted out.

First place is confirmed, but there is relegation to finalize and determining who is the 2^nd team to fall in the relegation zone.

There are final placements to figure out – determining who will qualify for BC Soccer Provincial A Cup.

Here is what there is on tap specifically:

-With Cowichan clinching, it will be interesting what lineup gets used vs Gorge…….and Gorge is in desperate need of 3 points to remain near the top of the standings.

-Vantreights will look to go out with a bang and keep Bays from safety.  Bays will need the win to guarantee another year in the top flight.

-Westcastle vs Wave – this could be a beauty of a game between 2 pretty young squads.  Wave need the points to get out of the relegation zone, and Westcastle can still clinch a top 3 finish by winning out.

-Comox will look to get out of the relatively close to relegation zone status.  They will be in tough as they face a hungry Lakehill team that can still finish top 4 themselves.

-Vic West vs Nanaimo – wish I was in Nanaimo over the weekend as this could be a potential preview of what the Jackson Cup Final would look like. Vic West will look to sew up 2^nd place, while Nanaimo will fight to be in 2^nd place.

Many questions will be answered over the weekend.
