Here is what we have going on in local top flight Division 1 soccer this weekend:

In looking at the standings and future matches, some of the games this weekend would be considered must win for some teams – and potentially their last opportunity to make a move in the division.
-While the Vantreights future may be sealed, the team will look to finish strong and nip some points from the division leaders Cowichan. A tough task indeed as they are facing personnel issues because of injuries.
-Lakehill will look to get into a top 4 finish and will need a resuly from their game vs Bays. Bays will need the 3 points to stay clear of the relegation zone and will want to finish strong.
-Nanaimo will need a result this weekend if they want any hope of finishing near the top. A hungry VI Wave team will look to get out of the relegation zone. **** This will be our Game Of The Week. ****
-Gorge will look to keep pace with Vic West & Cowichan and will face a determined Comox team as they will also be looking to clear themselves from the relegation zone.
-What might be also considered a Game Of The Week – Vic West are looking to keep pace with Cowichan and will need to have a concentrated effort vs Westcastle in order to do so.
