It was wet but all games were played in a busy weekend in our top flight on the Island.
Here is the report as we are travelling on the road up to one end of the Island.
Friday night started with Gorge and Nanaimo battling to a 1-1 draw.
Gorge goal by Zakaria Bougraine.
Nanaimo goal by Andres Algarin.
In Duncan, Lakehill came into town and left with a 3-2 victory.
Cowichan had the first 2 goals, and they were by Logan Kits and Adyn Lamont.
Doing the damage for Lakehill was Matthew Olaka who scored all 3.
From Oak Bay High, Bays Utd defeated Mid Isle by score of 7-1.
The loan Mid Isle marker was scored by Ryan Andre.
Bays goals were Mark Rankin, Kiyoshi Croke, Mackenie Riggs x 2, and Xavier Araujo x 3.
At Finlayson on Saturday, Vic West defeated newly promoted Powell River by score of 3-0.
Vic West had goals by Sean Prizeman and Declan O’Callaghan x 2.
Earning the shutout was Ben Chamberlin.
The final game of the weekend had Defending Jackson Cup champion Westcastle defeat newly promoted Juan de Fuca Allflows by score of 7-0.
Sachdev Grewal earned the shutout for Westcastle.
Scoring the goals were Sean Young, Kadin Martin-Pereux, Stuart Klenner x 2, and Keenan Colley x 3.
