VISL Division 1 Results & Standings

-submitted by Vince Greco

VISL Division 1 league play was disturbed, but we were able to get a couple games played.

Both games were close and both played big parts in the current standings.

-The hot VI Wave defeating Bays Utd keeps the young squad in the thick of things and poised for a top 5 finish.

The loss for Bays will make things a bit more difficult for them as they look to qualify for BC Provincial Cup.

-At the other end of the table – Saanich Fusion got their 2nd win of the season and by doing so are tied with Comox at the bottom of the division. Comox is slightly ahead via tie breaker – so the next couple games will be huge.

-Next week will have more Division 1 games as well as the entry round starting for the Sir John Jackson Cup.
