VISL – Sir John Jackson Cup

102 Years later and the same trophy exists for the same tournament that 1st took place in the year 1915.

The Competition is now limited to the top 2 divisions of the League – at one time it was for all teams within the VISL.

There are 3 other Cups to be played for; the George Pearkes Challenge Cup for the more recreational divisions of 3 & 4, the Tony Grover Masters Cup for all players in the Maters divisions that are 35 years plus, and the George Smith U21 Cup for players in our under 21 years division.  All brackets can be found at www.visl.org

Here is the Jackson Cup draw.

We were able to sneak in one entry round game over the weekend, Prospect Lake of Division 2 defeated Westcastle of Division 2 by the score of 1-0. Starting this Thursday, all games this weekend are 1st round Cup related.

There are several games that could be good ones, but the Vic West Div 1 vs Cowichan United Div 2 game could be a great one.  The underdog Div 2 team from North of the Malahat will work hard and push Vic West.
