NRI captured the Soccer Quest Riverside Motors Men’s Masters 45+ league defeating the 2 past seasons champions White Eagles. This is the first final in the 6 various adult soccer league finals that Soccer Quest operates as Kamloops largest membership indoor sports facility.

In a very tactical game played by NRI due to having low numbers due to various spring break commitments by team members they sat back and absorbed the pressure for the majority of the game. Keeper Chris Tynan had his game of the season saving several quality saves and keeping the Eagles attack at bay. On two breakaways Sean Wallace NRI’s sole forward for the game slotted home two well placed goals. Resulting in a 2-0 very exhausting victory for NRI.

This Saturday the Fresh is Best Co-ed league reaches its climax with play-off running from 2-7 pm. With a new champion being crowned in this successful new league.

The week of March 27 has the 4 other various men’s and ladies leagues start their play-offs culminating with the finals on April 2 from 4pm -7pm. These leagues the Riverside Motors Men’s Open and Rec and the Chahal Priddle Ladies Open and Rec are the results of 25 games played by these teams from October through March and should be an exciting week of soccer before the Kamloops soccer community moves outdoors.
