The Victoria Public Library is hosting author & BC Sports Hall of Fame Curator Jason Beck for a special presentation of his book The MIRACLE MILE: Stories of the 1954 British Empire & Commonwealth Games. Full of colourful & well-researched stories from the 1954 games, Jason Beck brings Vancouver of the 1950s to life as the young city hosts its first global sporting event. Admission is free to the presentation at the Greater Victoria Public Library on Wednesday, June 29.
