– Submitted by KYSA

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Youth Soccer Association’s indoor programs kick-off November 6th, 2018 under the organization’s Centre of Excellence umbrella, sponsored by Hansport––the soccer specialists located at 860 8th Street in North Kamloops.

The winter programs being offered are an excellent opportunity for children to develop their soccer skills under direct instruction from expert coaches. All sessions are led by Senior Staff Coach Mark Bell and Technical Director Ciaran McMahon. Each player will train under a physical, technical and tactical curriculum designed specifically for their age and level of performance.  Each participant will further develop their confidence, love for the game, skill execution, game intelligence and competitive desire.

KYSA training provides an age appropriate curriculum designed to develop each player in the following areas:

Personal Skills:  Responsibility | Co-operation | Competition | Self-confidence | Team Work | Training Habits
Technical Skills:  Dribbling | Turning | Shielding | Shooting | Passing | Moving | Physical Literacy
Tactical Skills:  1v0 | 1v1 | 2v1 | 2v2 | 3v2 | 3v3 | 4v4 Situation

There is a program for any currently registered SELECT player in U11/12 & U13/14 (born 2008 through 2005 – Roster or Reserve).  Goalkeepers are included.
There is also a program for any player born 2012 & 2011 who loves soccer and is KEEN to grow their knowledge of and, love for, the game (Those interested in playing goalkeeper at U8 are also welcome).
Additionally, the association is offering a program called SUPER SKILLZ tailored for U5 to U13  (born 2014 to 2006) players who want to keep up their enthusiasm for the game during the winter months in a relaxed and fun environment (those U8+ interested in goalkeeping are also welcome).
The winter schedule also includes a program for SMALL GROUPS geared toward the keen and focused U9 to U15 player (born 2010 to 2004) wanting detailed attention and improvement in several technical areas (Goalkeepers also welcome).
A fifth indoor program is being offered to players who are interested in improving their skill and performance in a high standards environment through the winter months. The SHOWCASE Program is open to any currently registered select player born 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001 (Roster or Reserve) seeking a high standards environment.
Registration fees vary depending upon the type of program, the length, and the number of players assigned to each group.
