Frustration builds for Kekuta Manneh: “I’m not used to being left behind” – MLS
In nearly a month since moving to Columbus, Manneh has yet to see the field for Crew SC. And despite making the gameday 18 in the previous week, Manneh was left to train in Ohio as the club flew to New Jersey to play the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, where they dropped a 2-0 decision. That training prompted Manneh to tweet the now-deleted hashtag “#rockbottom” from the team’s training facility, adding to concerns about his future in Columbus.

Westhills Stadium & Goudy Park in Langford hosted the 2016 BC Soccer Adult Provincial Cup Finals. It was a thrilling weekend of soccer on Vancouver Island that saw seven champions crowned. Richmond FC & Surrey Pegasus qualified for the National Championships this Fall in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Both Coquitlam Metro-Ford Masters & Classics sides qualified for the Western Canadian Masters Championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In all, it was a clean sweep for teams from the VMSL & MWSL. Monique Lamoureux & Bill Currie from BC Soccer Web were on location that weekend, capturing the all the action.

Canada’s stay at the 2017 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship won’t last very long. Needing at least a point to stay alive in their quest to qualify for the FIFA Under-17 World, Canada was eliminated with a 2-1 loss to Cuba on Tuesday.

Sounders FC 2 (2-4-0, 6 points) fell 3-2 to San Antonio FC (5-0-1, 16 points) on Tuesday evening at Starfire Stadium. Defender Sam Rogers scored his first USL goal and First Team midfielder Zach Mathers converted a second-half penalty attempt, but conference-leading San Antonio FC left with three points on three goals.
