Douglas Royals returning to Women’s Soccer Nationals, as hosts – CCAA
Douglas College has been approved to host the 2018 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship. The bid was approved today in Abbotsford, BC, at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association annual general meeting. The Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) institution will host the event Nov. 7-10, 2018 in Coquitlam, BC.

WolfPack Men’s Soccer Sign Program’s Youngest Recruit (Leveille) – TRU Wolfpack
Head coach John Antulov and the ‘Pack are pleased to announce that 5’10” Anatoli Leveille (pronounced Lay-vay-yay) of Glenlawn Collegiate of Winnipeg, Manitoba has signed a letter of intent to join the program in August. At the age of 15, Leveille is the youngest ever recruit signing in the history of Thompson Rivers University.

This past weekend, Victoria Highlanders FC hosted weekend double-header against Calgary Foothills FC. Both matches were held on absolutely gorgeous days, with everyone enjoying mild weather and sunny skies. Sadly, neither results nor attendance came close to what Highlanders were hoping to see.

Reno’s Trifecta Tames Toros – USL
Expansion Reno 1868 FC did something that no other team has been able to do against Rio Grande Valley FC this season – tally multiple goals in a game. Brent Richards’ 77th-minute tally proved to be the winner as 1868 FC earned a 3-2 victory against RGV on Wednesday at Greater Nevada Field. Richards was set up by halftime sub Luis Felipe, who also provided a 66th-minute go-ahead goal.
OCB, Rhinos Play to Stalemate – USL
Orlando City B and the Rochester Rhinos traded first-half goals and played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday at Orlando City Stadium. Both sides are shoulder-to-shoulder in the Eastern Conference standings, but neither could help its cause to make a significant move up. OCB’s Hadji Barry opened the scoring on a strong setup pass from Richie Laryea in the 23rd minute, and Rochester followed two minutes later with Antonio Correia’s first goal.
