The University of Victoria Vikes men’s soccer team used home field advantage to find their first win of the season, 4-3, over the UBC Okanagan Heat on Sept. 7 at Centennial Stadium. The Annual ThunderFest night saw over 3,600 fans cheering from start to finish in an end-to-end thriller that puts the Vikes up to a 1-2-1 Canada West record, while the Heat drop to 1-2-2.
SFU women’s soccer pull off comeback to beat NDNU 4-2 – SFU
It was a tight first half but the Simon Fraser University women’s soccer team did not get rattled in pursuit of their second victory of the season on Saturday afternoon.

Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team scored a record setting 8:0 victory in their first Concacaf Nations League match. The eight goals marked the most-ever in international competition for the Men’s National Team in a match that featured three teenagers in the starting XI for the first time in a senior competitive match. Canada now sits tied for first atop the Nations League table with three points.
