On many occasions the ‘Caps have lost games they were expected to win and won some, many on the road, that no-one gave them a chance in. On Saturday night in Carson, California, it was to be the latter, with Tosaint Ricketts 74th minute goal giving the Whitecaps a 1-0 win over a Galaxy side that offered little and finished the game with ten men. Vancouver could even afford the luxury of a late Lucas Cavallini penalty miss to leave with all three points.
